Diploma Level Training Centre for Teachers of VI, HI & MR
The Sangh took an initiative to start a Training Centre for Teachers (TCT) of VI, HI & MR during the year 2018-19. The Department of SSEPD, Govt. of Odisha had issued NOC for starting the training courses at Banpur. NSS had got the Approval from RCI to start the Diploma Training course (DSE VI) for the Teachers of Visual Impairment. Unfortunately NSS TCT couldn`t able to take admission in the Year 2018- 19 but during the year 2019-20 Fifteen Trainees admitted in first batch and undergoing training for 2 years. Qualified faculties have been imparting training as per the RCI syllabus. NSS also applied for extension of above training course for another 5 years.
Industrial Training Centre (ITC)
NSS runs an Industrial Training Centre (ITC) recognised by the National Council for Vocational Training, Govt. of India at Banpur since 1996 to impart training in (1) Stenography & Secretarial Practice, (2) Sewing Technology, (for women) and (3) Cane Willow & Bamboo work. This is one of the Organizations in the state of Odisha where opportunity is available for the handicapped to get the Industrial training. During last year the admission was not taken due to shortage of infrastructure as per the new norms.
